The Workshop

Solicitors and other legal professionals are regularly required to speak with confidence.

This course provides them with the public speaking skills required to win over potential clients, communicate authoritatively in client meetings and make an impression at networking events.

In this workshop delegates will learn how to:

  • Tackle public speaking nerves
  • Construct engaging talks/presentations
  • Deliver talks/presentations with authority
  • Speak ‘off the cuff’ in meetings
  • Win over potential clients
  • Continue to build their speaking skills after the workshop

Delegates will be provided with relevant tools and techniques by an experienced trainer who will then guide them through a series of group activities to hone their skills.

The activities will simulate public speaking challenges they may encounter in client interviews, at networking events, in client meetings and in internal meetings

Delegates will leave with the skills and confidence required to take on these challenges and speak with confidence.

This workshop has been designed for solicitors and other legal professionals of all levels operating in the commercial sector.

Book now to avoid disappointment.

(Next workshop with spaces: 27 Feb 2020, 9.30am-4.30pm in London, early bird tickets from £295 – see below for details.)

‘Highly practical, interactive, fun and engaging.’
Karin Killander, Second Home

The Trainer

The workshop will be run by James Evans, the Founder and Lead Coach of Vensa Coaching.

He draws on his past experience as a stand-up comedian to help individuals overcome nerves, speak off-the-cuff and win over audiences.

James has coached CEOs, TEDx speakers and worked with a number of organisations including Kensington Palace, Second Home, Hope Not Hate, InvestIN, Portsmouth Business School and Warwick University.

He has helped numerous solicitors at different stages of their careers, including partners, and his experience has provided him with an understanding of the unique speaking and presenting challenges they face.

James is experienced at getting individuals where they want to be with their speaking.

‘Not only did James improve my technical speaking ability, but he helped finesse my body language and speechwriting. I used to consider public speaking as something to be avoided but I now actually enjoy it, and I ascribe this fully to James’s tuition.’
Oliver West, Simmons & Simmons
